Recent statistics state that a total of 76,163 visitors from the GCC visited Slovenia in 2016, resulting in a 10% increase compared to 2015 figures. Amongst those, Saudi Arabia was the highest at 43,483 travellers, which was an increase of 11.5% compared to the year before. Visitors from UAE were next highest, followed by Kuwait.

Keeping up with the growing trend, Slovenian Tourist Board (STO) wants to provide its visitors with a green, active and healthy holiday destination.
