The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) launched an e-system for performance measurement, supporting decision-making, enhancing customer service, and providing information through smart devices.

The integral tool helps manage organizational performance and meet requirements of performance management structure in the Prime Minister’s Office. This tool also aims at providing higher management for the Authority in terms of ongoing assessment of the common feasibility of the Authority’s action plans.

HH Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General, GCAA said: “The GCAA focuses on sustainable improvement of its operations and services, and we are continually looking for new innovations. This would be across all systems and tools to ensure that our performance and results are, in harmony with the national agenda of UAE, and with the Aviation industry foresight”.

The recently developed system translates the vision of GCAA into clear measurable results that define the extent of achieved success.

This management tool includes a new system for providing instant information about all the applications submitted by the customers; companies or individuals, to the officials and the Authority’s Staff, in a way to process the submitted applications in a very short time. The new system provides analytical data for the officials about the status of the submitted applications to the Authority, which in turn supports decision-making and provides all information through smart devices. This system gives a clear image on the usage of e-services by customers and time to complete a transaction.

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) provides 188 e-services for customers across different fields of civil aviation. These services can be availed via the Authority’s portal or a cloud App.
