Swiss-Belhotel International continues KSA expansion

In a bid to strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia, Swiss-Belhotel International (SBI) has signed the Swiss-Belhotel and Suites Jazan. The announcement was made by Laurent A Voivenel, Senior Vice President, Operations and Development for the Middle East, Africa and India, Swiss-Belhotel International.

The new four-star property will feature 210 keys and is owned by Cardamom International Property Management LLC.  The room categorization will be 140 rooms and 70 studios plus apartments as the hotel will cater to a diverse mix of travellers.

Additional facilities will include four dining outlets, a ballroom and three meeting rooms, health club with steam and sauna and a swimming pool. There is also a marina and restaurant on the beach that will be exclusively dedicated to hotel guests.

Nawaf bin Mansour bin Saleh Al Sharif, Owner of Cardamom International Property Management, said: “The market is currently undersupplied in terms of hotels and is, therefore, projected to show strong growth in the near future and we are keen to take advantage of this massive opportunity.”

Elaborating further Gavin M Faull, Chairman and President of Swiss-Belhotel International explained, “As part of our global expansion strategy, we are dedicated to enter new markets and particularly excited about our debut in Jazan. Jazan is witnessing major economic development in KSA and we believe our brand will be ideally placed to cater to needs of travellers.”

Saudi Arabia currently has most hotel rooms under construction in the Middle East and North Africa, with 36,742 keys in 85 projects. In addition to the massive development of hotels, the Saudi government is investing in major infrastructure projects to grow tourism. Jazan has got some of the largest and most significant infrastructure projects in the country worth billions of dollars.
