Hansgrohe Reorganises SE Executive Board

Despite a weakening global economy, the Hansgrohe Group is aiming for moderate growth in sales for the current financial year. This goal is achieved by strengthening and expanding the core business of Hansgrohe with innovative new products. An essential element here is the focus on the requirements and wishes of customers worldwide.

Focusing always means questioning what is existing and adapting it to current requirements. With the aim of making the business processes more efficient and agile, the Hansgrohe Group is also systematically adapting its structures to its corporate strategy.

In the future, four Executive Board departments

The company is reorganising its responsibilities and functions, reducing the number of executive board positions from five to four. The technology function will be omitted as an independent board department. Chief Technology Officer Frank Schnatz therefore leaves the company on Oct 31, 2019.

Frank Schnatz (46) was appointed Chief Technology Officer of Hansgrohe SE in 2014. Before that, he headed WMF’s production facilities for the table and kitchen business and was Managing Director of the WMF brand subsidiary Silit. At Hansgrohe, Frank Schnatz played a decisive role in the expansion of the national and international production sites, through which the Black Forest bath and sanitary specialist has significantly increased both its production capacities and the flexibility of its production processes in recent years.

“Frank Schnatz has made a significant contribution to the successful expansion of Hansgrohe over the past few years. Without the development of our worldwide production sites, we would not have been able to meet our customer requirements on a current scale. I thank him for this performance not only personally, but also on behalf of the entire Supervisory Board,” said Klaus F. Jaenecke, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hansgrohe SE. “With the consistently focused management structure, we will continue our successful growth strategy for the benefit of our customers, our employees and our partners,” continues Jaenecke.

Clear allocation in Innovation & Marketing, Sales, Finance and Operations

In addition to the Chairman of the Executive Board, Hans Jürgen Kalmbach (44), Vice Chairman Reinhard Mayer (52), Christophe Gourlan (47) and Frank Semling (52) continue to form the four member Executive Board of Hansgrohe SE.

Operations functions such as purchasing, production, logistics and HR are bundled in Frank Semling’s department, Christophe Gourlan is responsible for worldwide sales, Reinhard Mayer as CFO is responsible for Finance, Controlling and M&A, and Hans Jürgen Kalmbach focuses primarily on CEO activities as strategy development, innovations and the development of the product portfolio as well as marketing. This reorganization of the Executive Board departments not only ensures stronger focus, it also promotes transparency and cooperation within the Hansgrohe Group.
