A glimpse of Venetian cuisine at Bocca

Italian food aficionados can join chef de cuisine Leonardo Passone and his kitchen brigade at Bocca from 2 – 12 March 2018 on a culinary journey through Venice. The venue will also host a masquerade-themed dining experience. The Italian restaurant at Hilton Abu Dhabi brings a special menu featuring Venetian dishes.

Traditional dishes are on the menu like homemade agnolotti filled with salted cod, grilled fresh trout fillet and pan-fried veal liver served with grilled polenta. To complete the tour through the ‘Floating City’, he has opted for a dessert most often served during Venetian carnivals – fritters filled with pastry cream.

Venetians believe in using not more than four ingredients per dish; they take food very seriously and love their seafood. The more important thing for Venetians is enjoying the meal with friends and family. In Venice, it’s all about having a memorable dining experience.

New menu for Bocca

A new a la carte menu has been launched at Bocca, the Italian restaurant at Hilton Abu Dhabi. In addition to chef Leonardo Passone’s signature dishes, the new menu features a selection of antipasti, soups, pastas, pizzas and desserts.

The new menu kicks off with a selection of antipasti which includes platters of Italian cheeses and cold cuts, and favourites like bruschetta, Caprese and burrata salads, prosciutto and fried calamari. The slow-cooked octopus with marinated potatoes and seared scallops with beans puree offer a unique start to the meal. There are two varieties of carpaccio – tuna and beef – on offer as well. The two kinds of soup are green peas with spinach and roasted tomato with melted goat cheese.

One can also savour the classic range of risottos and pastas which can be cooked in a sauce of the guest’s preference, as well as variety of pizzas prepared from scratch at the live dough station. Bocca also offers eight choices of mains including corn-fed baby chicken, grilled rack of lamb and pan-fried sea bream fillet.

Finally, for desserts, there is a marinated summer peach, banana panacotta, coconut semifreddo, and the all-time favourite of patrons – the Bocca Tiramisu.
