As the company completes 25 years of operations, Rotana is busy laying the foundation for its next phase of success and growth. The company has a strong pipeline with 49 properties – located in 26 cities in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey – under various stages of development. A bigger and better QSF 2017

In a recent announcement, the Qatar Summer Festival (QSF) will run for more than twice its usual length in the upcoming fourth edition.

Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) announced that the theme for this year’s event is ‘Colour Your Summer’. This year’s QSF will run from Eid Al Fitr through to Eid Al Adha.

Mashal Shahbik, director of festivals and tourism events at QTA said: “The incidence of both Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha during the summer months this year created an opportunity for us to merge the Eid Celebrations in Qatar and Qatar Summer Festival into a continuous, two-month long festival.”

Malls, hotels and destination management companies will provide entertainment events and special packages, while the QSF centerpiece and family-favourite, the Summer Entertainment City, will be delivered by local events management company, QSports.

QSF is reviving its collaboration with local comedy pioneers Doha Comedy Festival, who will reveal details of their showcase event in coming weeks. Hollywood comedian Marlon Wayans will bring his live stand-up comedy special to Qatar for the first time. The festival months will also feature a music concert on 18 August by Nawal Al Kuwaitiyah and Saudi superstar Mohamad Abdo, courtesy of Rotana Group.
