Ethiopian Airlines refurbishes Boeing 767-300ER fleet

Ethiopian Airlines is refurbishing its Boeing 767-300ER fleet. As part of the refurbishment, the aircraft are fitted with full flat-bed seats in Cloud Nine, a modern IFE system with high resolution 17-inch screen, and in-seat power outlets, lighting and other modern cabin products.

The new fitting will also have comfortable seats, multiple channels of inflight audio and video entertainments accessible via their own mobile devices.

Ethiopian Group CEO, Tewolde GebreMariam, said: “We have invested more than US$ six million to retrofit our B767-300 ER fleet, which will provide more choice and comfort to customers. By December 2017, all our B767 fleet will be fitted with flat-bed seats in Cloud Nine with access to a range of video programming available for wireless streaming in all cabins.”

The airline currently has 92 aircraft with an average age of five years and has plans to acquire 19 A350-900s, four B787-900s and five Q400s in future.
